On April 1, the first work session of the GECHS crisis committee that brought together the partner companies to analyze the effects if the world economic crisis and to debate different ways to face it.In the meeting the topics associated with the long times required for collecting bills from the big companies; the way of getting a cost reduction through joint purchases; the lack of bank loans and the feasibility of mergers and acquisitions as an alternative.
Carlos Lewit, general manager of Ki Teknology, in charge of directing the mergers and the mergers and acquisitions committee presented the need to achieve a greater cohesion and consolidation of the industry. He proposed using the case study of the merger of the companies Kepler Technology and InterMedia, as a basis for progressing in this topic.
