Banco Popular

Banco Popular, the biggest private Bank in Dominican Republic, contacted Ki Teknology, one of the main partners of Microsoft in the Caribbean, to assist it in its migration to a new architecture called Windows NT, and to design a solution that would separate customer service modules from internal processes. That’s how Ki Teknology, using Windows NT Server, Microsoft SQL Server 6.5, Internet Information Server and Transaction Server among others, designed the first Latin-American solution which fully implements Microsoft’s Distributed Internetworking Application Architecture (DNA) in a mission critical application. Among the expected results are greater flexibility to respond to business environment changes, better customer service with the possibility of designing products according its needs, and a significant decrease in hardware and software acquisition costs including those costs associated with the administration and maintenance of systems.

BankBoston - Chile

In 1998 BankBoston contacted Ki Teknology to assist it in the launching of its Internet Banking project. Ki Teknology should be directly involved in developing the middleware to make the connection between the AS/400 system and the front end application under a Windows NT based architecture. That’s how Ki Teknology used its product “KEPLER Transactional Framework “(which was the first Latin American solution that implements the Microsoft Distributed interNetworking Application Architecture DNA in a mission critical application) and started a long process with the Bank that continues today with the intensive utilization of this product in almost all the Bank’s channels. One result expected was simplicity and speed to respond to business changes by making it easy too add new features and reutilization as a basis for solutions in others channels such as BostonExpress and the Commercial Platform.

ING – Ex Bansander AFP

In the year 2002 Bansander AFP contacted Ki Teknology to help it in its Project to transfer AFPS, internal transfers and fund withdrawals by Internet, with the aim of incorporating in its site all of the requirements of the AFP Superintendency related to voluntary payments into pension plans, withdrawals, changes between funds, allocation of funds and switching from one AFP to another. Thus, Ki Teknology, using its product “KEPLER Transactional Framework”, which was the first solution in Latin America and the Caribbean to entirely implement the architecture Microsoft ‘s Distributed InterNetworking Application Architecture (DNA) in a mission critical application, began with Bansander AFP a long process that continues today with the intensive use of the product in practically all of its channels. Among the most important results attained is the ease and rapidity of responding to business changes by facilitating addition of new features and reutilization as a basis for solutions in other channels such as BostonExpress and the Commercial Platform.

Chilean State Bank

In December 2006 the Chilean State Bank contacted Ki Teknology to obtain assistance including a set of enhancements in its Mortgage Sales System and to present a new group of products in the 2007 campaign. That’s how Ki Teknology, using its broad experience in software development, new architecture implementation and project management, took charge of the specification, construction and testing of the interfaces related to this project named VCH.

Renting Your Home

Renting Your Home, a Boston, MA based startup focused on attracting and managing qualified tenants online for landlords , contacted Ki Teknology to manage the design and development of its company website through a series of strict venture capital funding timeline milestones and company launch deadlines. Ki Teknology’s staff coordinated with Boston-based firm Trionia and adapted its process oriented development methodology to accommodate a more flexible development methodology appropriately suited to this entrepreneurial project. That’s how Ki Teknology, using its deep international supply network of developers and project managers, launched its first U.S. based development project in 2008. Renting Your Home enjoyed the benefits of a flexible design staff, as well as the benefits of Ki Teknology’s systematic approach to project management, and was included early in user-testing phases and dialogue in order to ultimately meet every project deadline on time and according to specification.

In 2005 Ripley contacted Ki Teknology to obtain assistance in the launching of its SAM PERU project, specifically to help it with Interfaces in its Merchandise Management Systems (SAM). That’s how Ki Teknology, using its broad experience in software development, introduction of new architectures and project management, has perfermed the analysis of requirements, specifications, construction (40%) and testing of the interfaces related with the SAM PERU project under the Services Oriented Architecture (SOA).
